Happy Fourth of July! Let’s Celebrate Global Trade Workers
This week, we celebrate Independence Day. On July 4, 1776, the thirteen colonies claimed their independence from England, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States. Most of us will be celebrating by spending time with our families at picnics, parades, and viewing fireworks.
This is also a great time to show our patriotic pride by celebrating the American worker. For those of us involved in international trade, we know the challenges of wearing many hats. We have to be on top of new laws, regulations and government expectations that change regularly. We are responsible for classification, record keeping, and even managing relationships with external customs brokers, carriers, or suppliers. Working independently is a common characteristic and it is not easy. It can be lonely.
This is one of the reasons we created the International Trade Community at Crowd.Trade. We wanted to create the perfect place to post questions to your trade compliance needs, find peers, share best practices, and learn from others. So whether you are a Newbie to Global Trade and looking for guidance or you’re an International Trade Guru (like our Badged Community Experts) and you’re trying guide your employees or share your passion. We all benefit from a community with support.
So this holiday – let’s celebrate all members of the community from the single person staff and consultant to the large corporate teams by displaying our pride in the American worker involved in Global Trade.
Happy Fourth of July!
