CBP Publishes IFR Announcing Interim Regulations For FIFRA

On Friday, September 30, 2016, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published an Interim Final Rule (IFR) announcing interim regulations pertaining to the importation of pesticides and pesticidal devices into the United States, that are subject to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).  

The IFR amends CBP’s regulations permitting the option to electronically file data from Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ‘‘Notice of Arrival of Pesticides and Devices’’ (NOA) form via any CBP-authorized electronic data interchange system, with entry documentation.

Comments to CBP on the IFR must be submitted on or before October 31, 2016.  To review the entire IFR notice, please download a copy of the attachment.
