Renee Chiuchiarelli is a skillful practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in trade compliance who enjoys giving back to the field that has provided her opportunities for creativity, growth, continued education, and a passion for compliance.

She has a BBA with emphasis in international trade/management and is a Licensed Customs Broker. With her father’s insight, she began her trade career working for various freight forwarders and customs brokers in both air and land borders. She then transitioned into the importer field where she was working as the customs manager for a top one hundred importer facilitating a variety of consumer product imports. Her career then evolved to working for a large multinational exporter/importer mainly in the defense sector where she was the Director of Global Customs.  Renee recently taught a pioneering course on Supply Chain Tracing. This cutting-edge program, featuring an immersive workshop component, catered to a cohort of over 330 CBP employees, empowering them with comprehensive knowledge and skills to effectively tackle forced labor within supply chains.

She has had the pleasure of participating in filing a miscellaneous duty suspension bill, through U.S. trade law and successfully capturing significant duty refunds, was part of the CTPAT validation pilot program between China and U.S., successfully mitigated multiple prior disclosures with Customs and Border Protection (CBP), participated in CBP, His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) audits.

Her association memberships include International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA), National Customs Broker and Freight Forwarders Association (NCBFAA) and Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) Los Angeles.

Renee lives outside of Los Angeles and enjoys time in the water, surfing, hiking with her mcnab collie, figure skating and spending time with her daughter in Chicago. She also enjoys volunteering her time with the National Parks, Heal the Bay, and Thousand Oaks library.
