Lila Landis is a Licensed Customs Broker, Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer, and Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional International with over 15 years of experience in global compliance and logistics. She holds a Global MBA from the University of Houston–Victoria in Texas and has built and led compliance programs across a range of industries, including defense, industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, logistics, and chemicals.

Industry Expertise:

Regulatory training, Free Trade Agreement programs, foreign import/export compliance, and the implementation of Global Trade Management (GTM) software. Known for her ability to simplify complex compliance regulations, she specializes in creating business-relevant programs that foster understanding and accountability across global teams.

Fluent in French and Spanish, Lila studied abroad during graduate school and has led international teams in executive roles at major multinational companies. Her collaborative work with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) includes Focused Assessments, broker compliance reviews, CTPAT validations, ACE testing, and proposed regulatory updates to Section 321 and Type 86 entries.

During the negotiations of the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA), Lila worked with the office of Senator Rob Portman (R–Ohio) to advocate for new rules governing chemical mixtures and blends. Her proposal was adopted into the final agreement as Rule 3: Mixtures and Blends Rule in Sections VI and VII.
