Going beyond the fundamentals, the Advanced Freight Services course provides in-depth insight into ocean transportation, ocean and air chartering, project cargo, customs, transportation law, legal liability, and the freight forwarder’s role within the supply chain. Once a Tier 2 certificate is obtained, finishing this course meets the Tier 3 certificate prerequisite.
This course covers subjects including commercial paperwork and meeting regulatory requirements, global payment methods, exporting packing and storage, insurance for cargo, securing cargo and handling dangerous goods, pricing and estimating, and providing alternative transportation options.
