Holding a BBA in international business, Renee excels at demystifying complex compliance challenges with real-world insights from her podcast “Tips From the FIO” series, blending sharp analytical skills, innovative teaching methods, and a passion for empowering importers, exporters, and compliance teams to navigate tariffs, forced labor risks, and supply chain transparency with confidence and strategic edge.
Julie Parks
Julie Ann Parks is a bold and visionary Global Compliance & Trade Executive and Licensed Customs Broker based in Allen, TX, known for turning complex international regulations into strategic wins for Fortune 100 companies while building fast, compliant trade ecosystems that never compromise integrity. Drawing on a career that began at the U.S. Department of Commerce and WF Whelan & Company, she has led global customs functions at RTX as Executive Director of Corporate Global Customs, directed customs at Raytheon Company where she pioneered customs as a shared service, managed outsourced trade operations at Ford Motor Company, and ran customs operations at Volkswagen of America. She now consults for global clients and continues to shape trade policy as Export and Compliance Committee Lead for the American Association of Exporters and Importers and as a Private Sector Consultative Group member to the World Customs Organization, with prior leadership including service on the U.S. Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee, board roles with AAEI and the NCBFAA Educational Institute, and election as Trade Co-Chair of COAC.
